- Water storage capacity of the green roof configuration (e.g. growing medium, drainage layer)
- Local precipitation patterns
Rainfall is the typical source of water, however complimentary irrigation options include hoses, sprinklers, overhead irrigation and automated systems that pump from some reservoir storage.
