  • Pipe fitting used for change in direction in a pipe system
  • A type of pipe fitting which is also referred as Bends:

- unswept and swept angle(see ISO 265-1:1998);
- spigot/ socket and socket/ socket

Swept angle is curved gradually. For elbows, the nominal angles (α) shall be 67 1/2° or 87 1/2° to 88 1/2°. When determining the laying length of curved (swept) entry fittings, generally similar principles are followed as are given for the determination of the laying lengths of direct entry fittings.
