Manning's Formula

Manning’s formula is the most widely used formulas for open-channel flow. In 1889 the Irish engineer Robert Manning presented a formula, which was later modified to its present well known form;

$V=\frac{1.49}{n}R^\frac{2}{3}S^\frac{1}{2}$
